Background

In the Fall of 2018, Brooks, one of the top running shoe brands, discovered their Blog was underutilized and well hidden within the site’s Information Architecture.  Myself and two other designers were tasked to head the redesign of the new Brooks Running Tips page for mobile and desktop. We consulted with three Brooks employees at their headquarters to uncover the pain points of the current Blog design and how to incorporate the redesign into the current website’s information architecture. We established two main goals- increase readership and discoverability; as well as to promote their brand as the industry leaders in running advice.

Outcome

The Running Tips blog redesign received positive praise and feedback from the leadership team at Brooks.  My team members and I had the wonderful opportunity to present our research and prototypes to the the broader team at Brooks Headquarters in Seattle, WA in early 2019. They planned to launch the redesign later that year. Want to know more about the redesign of Brooks Running blog? Contact me at vaughnsn@gmail.com
